Likewise, Gideon was instructed by God to destroy the altar of Baal before he could deliver Israel. This teaches us that many victories begin with dismantling evil spiritual foundations. Hidden altars often sustain hidden covenants. Once the altar was destroyed, God’s power rested upon Gideon for supernatural victory.
In the New Testament, Jesus established a new covenant through His blood. Every believer who places faith in Christ now belongs to a superior covenant that overrules every demonic agreement. No ancestral covenant is stronger than the blood covenant established by Jesus Christ.
