Imagine a traveler who owns a beautiful house prepared by a loving father. The keys have already been given, the documents bear the traveler’s name, and every room is fully furnished. Yet every time the traveler reaches the gate, an invisible chain pulls him backward before he can enter.
He tries harder.
He changes routes.
He seeks advice.
He works day and night.
Still, the invisible resistance remains.
One day, the father arrives carrying the original ownership document and a master key. He examines the gate and discovers that years earlier someone had secretly placed an illegal lock over the original lock. Though the house already belonged to the traveler, the illegal lock prevented access.
The father removes the illegal lock, destroys it, opens the gate with the master key, and says:
“This house has always been yours. Nothing has changed except that the false barrier has now been removed.”
This illustration reflects the believer’s confidence in Christ. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has secured access to God’s promises. While life may include real obstacles and spiritual opposition, believers can pray with assurance that no hidden barrier is greater than God’s authority. The Lord is able to expose what is concealed, remove what hinders, and lead His children into the blessings He has prepared according to His will.
