BIBLE EXHORTATION

Identity confusion is a spiritual attack that distorts who you are, what you carry, and where you are going. When a person does not know their true identity, they become vulnerable to deception, comparison, and wrong decisions.

Scripture declares in Genesis 1:27 that you are created in the image of God. In 1 Peter 2:9, you are called a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and a peculiar people. This means your identity is not defined by circumstances, opinions, or past experiences—but by God.

The enemy often attacks identity because once you know who you are, he loses power over you. Just as he tried to confuse Jesus in Matthew 4 by saying, “If you are the Son of God…,” the same tactic is used today.

Stand firm: you are who God says you are.

Imagine a prince who was separated from his royal family at birth and raised in a poor environment. He grows up believing he is ordinary, struggling and living below his true status.

One day, someone reveals his true identity—that he is royalty. At first, he struggles to believe it because everything around him contradicts it. But as he begins to accept the truth, his mindset, behavior, and expectations change.

He starts thinking like royalty, walking with confidence, and accessing privileges that were always his but unknown.

This is what happens when identity is revealed. Many believers live below their spiritual status because they are unaware of who they are in Christ. But once revelation comes, confusion disappears, and purpose becomes clear.
