BIBLE EXHORTATION
Relationships can greatly influence the direction of a person’s life.
The Bible warns us to exercise wisdom concerning companionship and influence.
Proverbs 13:20 teaches that whoever walks with the wise becomes wise.
1 Corinthians 15:33 warns that bad company can corrupt good character.
At the same time, Scripture teaches us not to become suspicious of everyone.
Jesus instructs His followers to be wise and discerning while remaining innocent (Matthew 10:16).
Betrayal can cause deep wounds. David experienced betrayal from someone close to him, yet he continued to place his confidence in God.
Psalm 41:9 describes the pain of betrayal by a trusted companion.
However, believers are not called to revenge.
Romans 12:19 teaches us to leave vengeance to God.

Our prayer is therefore:

Imagine a garden planted with valuable crops.
A gardener does not simply water everything that grows in the garden. The gardener also watches carefully, removes harmful growth, protects the healthy plants, and ensures that the soil remains suitable for growth.
Relationships can be similar.
Some relationships encourage growth, wisdom, faith, accountability, and purpose.
