Bible Exhortation
The spirit of people-pleasing and the fear of man have destroyed destinies, delayed purpose, weakened boldness, and silenced many believers from walking fully in the will of God. Many people are trapped in emotional bondage because they are constantly seeking human approval instead of divine approval. The fear of rejection, criticism, abandonment, and disapproval has kept many from obeying God wholeheartedly.
The Bible says in Proverbs 29:25 that the fear of man brings a snare. This means it is a spiritual trap. Whenever a believer becomes more conscious of human opinions than God’s voice, spiritual weakness enters. King Saul lost his kingdom because he feared the people more than he obeyed God. Peter denied Jesus because of fear of man. Many today suppress their gifts, hide their calling, tolerate abuse, compromise righteousness, and live fake lives because they fear what people will say.
God did not create you to live under emotional slavery. You were created to walk in boldness, confidence, authority, and freedom through Christ. Jesus Himself was rejected by many, yet He remained focused on His divine assignment. You cannot fulfill destiny if you are addicted to human validation.
The spirit of people-pleasing opens doors to anxiety, depression, confusion, emotional exhaustion, spiritual instability, and double-mindedness. But God wants to heal you completely. He wants to deliver you from unhealthy dependence on approval and establish your identity in Christ.
When God heals your heart from fear of man:
- You become spiritually bold.
- You stop apologizing for your God-given identity.
- You obey God without intimidation.
- You walk in confidence and wisdom.
- You stop shrinking yourself to make others comfortable.
- You gain freedom from manipulation and emotional control.
Today, every chain of emotional bondage, rejection, intimidation, insecurity, and fear shall break by the power of God.
Long Illustration
Imagine a mighty eagle raised among chickens from birth. Because it grew up around chickens, it never attempted to fly high. It kept pecking the ground, limiting itself, and living beneath its true identity. Anytime it stretched its wings, the chickens mocked it and discouraged it. Eventually, the eagle became afraid of trying.
One day, another eagle flying high in the sky saw it and came down. The eagle asked, “Why are you living like this when you were born to soar?” The grounded eagle replied, “I am afraid. What if they reject me? What if I fail? What if they laugh at me?”
The eagle flying above said, “You were never created to seek the approval of chickens. You were born for the skies.”
Many believers are like that eagle. They have reduced themselves because of fear of criticism, rejection, mockery, and disapproval. They silence their voice to make people comfortable. They abandon divine purpose because they fear human opinion. But today, God is calling you higher. You shall no longer live under the prison of people’s expectations.
