Love is essential to family stability.

Scripture also teaches:

“Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.” — Romans 12:10

Family ministry should therefore encourage people to practice humility, patience, forgiveness, service, and mutual honor.

Strong families are not families without difficulties. They are families that learn to face difficulties through faith, wisdom, communication, accountability, prayer, forgiveness, appropriate support, and commitment to godly principles.

Prophetic Illustration

Imagine a house standing during a powerful storm.

The storm may bring heavy rain and strong winds, but the strength of the house depends greatly upon its foundation, structure, maintenance, and preparation.

A family can experience storms too—misunderstandings, financial pressure, transitions, disagreements, grief, disappointment, parenting challenges, and other difficulties.

The answer is not pretending that storms do not exist.

The answer is building wisely.
