Prayer Focus

Bible Exhortation
God does not desire His children to live under the domination of fear.
2 Timothy 1:7 declares:
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Biblical confidence is not arrogance. It is the settled assurance that God is with us, His Word is trustworthy, and His grace is sufficient for whatever He has called us to face.
David stood before Goliath with confidence because his confidence was ultimately in God. Joshua was repeatedly commanded to be strong and courageous because the presence of God was with him.
Hebrews 10:35 says:
“Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.”
Therefore, confidence must be guarded. Fear may speak loudly, circumstances may look intimidating, and opposition may attempt to make you retreat, but faith reminds you that God is greater than the obstacle.
Prophetic Illustration
Imagine a young eagle standing on the edge of a high mountain. The wind is powerful, the valley is deep, and the first flight appears frightening.
The eagle does not overcome the wind by becoming stronger than the wind. It learns to use the wind beneath its wings.
In the same way, God’s children may encounter circumstances larger than their natural ability. Divine confidence does not mean that there are no challenges. It means that God’s presence and grace are greater than the challenges.

Bible Reading
