Scripture repeatedly commands the transmission of truth from one generation to another. Education is one of the means through which knowledge, skills, wisdom and values are transferred.
Hosea 4:6 warns about destruction associated with lack of knowledge, while Proverbs 4:7 declares that wisdom is the principal thing.
When literacy increases, people gain greater access to information, employment, entrepreneurship, civic participation and personal development. When educational systems are transformed, communities gain stronger foundations for future development.
