LONG ILLUSTRATION

Imagine a young tree planted in fertile soil. One day, strong winds and storms bend it repeatedly until it grows leaning sideways. Over time, the tree becomes afraid of standing straight because it associates uprightness with breaking again.

That tree is like a wounded heart.

Every time it tries to grow straight (trust again, love again, open up again), fear whispers: “You will be hurt again.”

But a skilled gardener comes. He places a support stake beside the tree, gently ties it, waters it, and protects it until the tree regains strength. Eventually, the tree stands tall again—strong, balanced, and unafraid of storms.

God is that skilled gardener. He does not force you open—He heals you into openness.
