The Bible warns repeatedly that pride goes before destruction. When a believer begins to think they are the reason for their success, their wisdom, or their spiritual growth, they unknowingly shift glory away from God. This becomes a spiritual leak that drains grace.

God resists the proud, not only the outwardly arrogant but also those who secretly consider themselves superior in heart, thought, or action. Deliverance from secret arrogance requires fire prayers, deep humility, and constant surrender.

LONG ILLUSTRATION

A man once planted a tree in his compound. For years, he watered it and nurtured it. The tree grew tall and began producing fruits. One day, the man started saying, “This tree is strong because of my wisdom. Without me, it would have died.”

Unknown to him, the roots of the tree began to weaken because he stopped giving credit to the soil, the rain, and the Creator who made growth possible. The tree slowly dried from the inside while still looking healthy outside.

This is how secret arrogance works. Outward success remains, but inward grace begins to dry. Eventually, collapse comes suddenly.

Many believers still function outwardly, but inwardly they have disconnected from grace due to hidden pride. Only fire prayers can restore total humility.
