Beloved, defilement is anything that contaminates the purity of a believer’s spirit, soul, and body, making them spiritually weak, unclean, and disconnected from God’s presence. The enemy often operates subtly—like a “louse spirit”—feeding on hidden sin, impurity, polluted thoughts, and ungodly habits.
But the Word of God declares that we are called unto holiness:
“For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:7
You cannot walk in power while tolerating spiritual contamination. Every hidden defilement must be purged by fire and truth.
Illustration
A man may appear clean outwardly, yet have lice hidden in his clothing. Over time, the infestation spreads, causing itching, irritation, shame, and discomfort.
