PRAYER FOCUS

O Lord, arise and revive my spiritual life. Every spirit of apathy, spiritual coldness, prayerlessness, distraction, weariness, lukewarmness, and loss of divine passion working against my walk with God, be broken now. Let every spiritual fire that has become weak be rekindled. Restore my hunger for Your Word, my passion for prayer, my love for Your presence, my zeal for righteousness, and my commitment to Your purpose, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

BIBLE EXHORTATION

Spiritual passion must be deliberately guarded. Scripture warns believers against becoming lukewarm and encourages them to remain fervent in spirit and committed to serving God.

There may be seasons when exhaustion, disappointment, distraction, grief, pressure, or prolonged waiting makes spiritual practices feel difficult. Such seasons should not be met with condemnation but with a return to God, honest prayer, Scripture, fellowship, rest, and renewed obedience.

God is able to restore spiritual hunger. The same Lord who revives the weary can rekindle zeal in a heart that feels spiritually dry.

The prayer of revival is therefore: “Lord, restore my hunger. Restore my fire. Restore my first love. Restore my passion for You.”

SPIRITUAL SYMPTOMS

These experiences can have many causes, including exhaustion, stress, disappointment, grief, or changes in circumstances, so they should not automatically be attributed to a spiritual attack. They can nevertheless become prompts for prayer and spiritual renewal:

Loss of desire to pray.
Reduced interest in reading Scripture.
Difficulty concentrating during prayer.
Feeling spiritually disconnected.
Loss of enthusiasm for worship.
Persistent spiritual distraction.
Repeated postponement of prayer and devotion.
