PRAYER FOCUS

This prayer session is focused on divine intervention against illegal mining, reckless land excavation, destruction of forests and farmland, water pollution, soil degradation, environmental contamination, unsafe mining practices, destruction of ecosystems, and every activity that damages communities and natural resources.

We shall pray for the protection and restoration of land and water resources, wisdom for environmental stewardship, enforcement of just laws, responsible resource management, restoration of damaged ecosystems, and protection of communities whose livelihoods depend on healthy land and water.

BIBLE EXHORTATION

The earth belongs to God, and humanity has been entrusted with the responsibility of cultivating and keeping it.

Genesis 2:15 says:

“And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”

This establishes an important principle: God’s creation is not to be recklessly destroyed. Land, water, forests, and natural resources should be managed with wisdom, accountability, and responsibility.

Numbers 35:33 also warns against polluting the land, showing the seriousness Scripture places on environmental stewardship.

We therefore pray against destructive practices while asking God to raise responsible leaders, expose unlawful activities, protect communities, restore damaged ecosystems, and establish justice and wise stewardship.

PROPHETIC ILLUSTRATION

In 2 Kings 2:19–22, the people of Jericho reported that their water was bad and the land was unproductive. Elisha acted prophetically, and the Lord brought healing to the waters.

The account presents a powerful picture of restoration: when environmental conditions become destructive to human wellbeing and productivity, God can bring renewal.

We therefore pray for the restoration of polluted waters, damaged land, degraded farmland, destroyed vegetation, and communities affected by environmental damage.
