Bible Exhortation
Words can be used as instruments of blessing or weapons of destruction. Scripture repeatedly warns against false witness, malicious accusation, backbiting and destructive speech. The enemy can seek to use human tongues to create confusion, damage relationships, provoke rejection and hinder legitimate opportunities.
However, the child of God is not powerless against evil words. God is able to expose falsehood, defend His people, overturn wicked accusations and establish truth.
Isaiah 54:17 declares that “every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.” Therefore, you must refuse to accept every negative word spoken against you as a final verdict. Take the matter before God, commit your reputation into His hands, and ask Him to expose falsehood and establish truth.
