PRAYER FOCUS

This prayer session is focused on divine intervention against desertification, prolonged drought, barren and degraded lands, drying water sources, soil depletion, destructive environmental conditions, loss of vegetation, declining agricultural productivity, and every circumstance contributing to the deterioration of land and ecosystems.

We shall pray for land restoration, renewed vegetation, sufficient rainfall, healthy soil, protected water resources, productive agriculture, environmental wisdom, sustainable stewardship, and restoration of communities affected by dry and degraded conditions.

BIBLE EXHORTATION

God is the Creator and sustainer of the earth. Scripture reveals that the land, rain, vegetation, rivers, fields, and seasons remain under His sovereign authority.

Psalm 65:9–13 declares that God visits the earth, waters it, enriches it, and causes the land to yield its increase.

Isaiah 35:1–2 gives a powerful picture of restoration:

“The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.”

God is able to bring renewal where there has been dryness, restoration where there has been degradation, and fruitfulness where there has been barrenness. We therefore pray for divine mercy, wise stewardship, restoration, and sustainable renewal of the land.

PROPHETIC ILLUSTRATION

In Ezekiel 47:1–12, Ezekiel saw water flowing from the temple and bringing life wherever the river went. Trees grew abundantly, their leaves remained green, and their fruit became a source of nourishment.

This is a powerful prophetic picture of restoration: places experiencing dryness can become productive again when life-giving resources are restored.
