Bible Exhortation

God has not called His children to a life of spiritual stagnation, fruitlessness or wasted potential. The Word of God commands believers to be strong in the Lord and to remain fruitful in every good work.

Atrophy describes a process of wasting away, shrinking or losing strength and function. Spiritually, this can picture a condition in which prayer life becomes weak, spiritual zeal diminishes, gifts remain unused, productivity declines and good intentions repeatedly produce little fruit.

The answer is not surrender but spiritual awakening. Scripture calls us to arise, strengthen what remains, redeem the time and continue diligently in the work God has committed to us.

Isaiah 40:31 declares that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Therefore, every force draining your spiritual strength and destroying your productivity must give way to renewed strength from the Lord.
