PRAYER FOCUS

This prayer session is focused on divine provision and protection of clean and reliable water resources; restoration of rivers, streams, wells, springs, reservoirs, and groundwater; protection against contamination and depletion; sustainable water access for households and communities; wisdom for responsible water management; and provision for farmers, schools, hospitals, businesses, and vulnerable communities.

BIBLE EXHORTATION

Water is repeatedly presented in Scripture as a gift of God’s provision and a source of life. God caused water to flow from the rock for Israel in the wilderness, provided springs in dry places, and promised streams in places experiencing severe dryness.

Isaiah 41:17–18 declares:

“The poor and needy seek water, and there is none… I the LORD will hear them… I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys.”

God is able to provide in dry places. He can give wisdom to communities, establish sustainable water resources, preserve existing sources, and open pathways toward reliable access to safe water.

Our prayer is therefore both a cry for divine provision and a declaration that water resources shall be protected, responsibly managed, restored, and made accessible to those who genuinely need them.

PROPHETIC ILLUSTRATION

In Exodus 17:1–6, the children of Israel arrived at a place where there was no water. God instructed Moses, and water came from the rock.

This illustrates God’s ability to make provision where circumstances appear impossible.

Again, in 2 Kings 2:19–22, Elisha was told that the waters of Jericho were bad and the land was unproductive. Through God’s intervention, the water was healed and the land became productive.

Therefore, we pray prophetically for the restoration of contaminated and degraded water sources, wise stewardship of available resources, sustainable water infrastructure, and divine provision in water-stressed communities.
