BIBLE EXHORTATION
Pride is a subtle but dangerous spirit that lifts a person above God and others. It often hides behind success, knowledge, or position, yet it leads to downfall if not addressed.
“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18)
God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humility attracts God’s presence, favor, and lifting. Pride, on the other hand, blocks divine help.
You are called to walk in humility, submission, and total dependence on God.
LONG ILLUSTRATION
Imagine a tree that grows tall and strong. As it grows, it begins to boast in its height, forgetting that its strength comes from its roots.
One day, a storm comes. Because it has grown rigid and unyielding, it snaps.
Nearby, a smaller tree bends with the wind and survives.
Pride makes a person rigid and self-reliant, while humility makes a person flexible and dependent on God.
Through aggressive prayer, every root of pride is broken, and you become grounded in humility and grace.
