As believers in Christ, we are no longer under the dominion of darkness. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ established a New Covenant sealed by His precious blood, which is greater than every evil covenant. No inherited curse, ancestral altar, or satanic agreement has authority over a believer who stands in Christ and enforces the finished work of the Cross through faith and prayer.
Many believers experience repeated patterns that appear impossible to explain naturally. Cycles of premature death, chronic delay, marital instability, financial hardship, recurring sickness, addictions, unexplained fear, repeated disappointments, and stagnation sometimes point to deeper spiritual battles requiring prayer, repentance where appropriate, and reliance on God’s grace. For years he struggles to enjoy what rightfully belongs to him because of an ancient document he never signed.
Eventually, an experienced attorney uncovers the hidden file and presents the authentic title deed bearing the seal of the rightful owner. The fraudulent claim is immediately canceled because a superior legal document overrides it.
Spiritually, this illustrates the believer’s position in Christ.
Before salvation, humanity was under the dominion of sin. Through Christ’s sacrifice, God established a new covenant that supersedes every accusation of the enemy. The enemy may attempt to remind believers of ancient failures, family histories, or spiritual bondage, but the blood of Jesus is the superior covenant.
Whenever believers pray in faith according to God’s Word, they are not creating victory; they are enforcing the victory already won by Christ. Just as the legal document restored the young man’s inheritance, the finished work of Christ restores every believer’s spiritual inheritance: peace, righteousness, favor, healing, hope, and eternal life.
