Prayer Focus

This prayer session focuses on freedom from domestic violence, physical abuse, emotional abuse, verbal abuse, sexual abuse, intimidation, coercive control, manipulation, threats, neglect, humiliation, and every destructive pattern that makes a household unsafe.

These prayers are for protection, wisdom, courage, healing, justice, healthy boundaries, reconciliation where it is genuinely safe, and deliverance from destructive cycles.

Important: If someone is currently being threatened or physically harmed, prayer should not replace immediate safety measures. Move to a safe place, contact trusted people or appropriate emergency/domestic-violence services, and seek professional support. Abuse is not something a victim is required to endure in the name of forgiveness, marriage, family loyalty, or spirituality.

Bible Exhortation

God does not approve of cruelty, oppression, or violence.

Psalm 11:5 declares that God hates violence.

Isaiah 1:17 calls God’s people to:

Jesus described His mission in terms of freedom and restoration:

Domestic abuse can appear in many forms. Warning signs may include:
