PROPHETIC ILLUSTRATION: WHEN THE STORM RAGES, JESUS STILL HAS AUTHORITY

Imagine a small boat in the middle of a vast sea. Suddenly, violent winds begin to blow. The waves rise higher and higher. The passengers become terrified because the boat is being tossed from one side to another.

To the passengers, the storm appears unstoppable. Their strength cannot calm the wind. Their experience cannot control the waves. Their fear cannot solve the problem.

But Jesus is in the boat.

The storm may be loud, but Jesus is greater than the storm. The waves may be high, but they are still under His authority. The wind may be raging, but it must obey the voice of the Creator.

Jesus stands and says, “Peace, be still.”
