BIBLE EXHORTATION
Scripture teaches that God is sovereign over doors.
Jesus declared in Revelation 3:7 that He is the One who opens and no one can shut, and shuts and no one can open.
This does not mean every closed door is satanic. Sometimes God closes a door for protection, redirection, preparation, or a better purpose. Therefore, the believer must not fight every closed door indiscriminately.
However, Scripture also records situations where God’s people experienced unjust opposition, rejection, and exclusion—and God intervened.
David was overlooked by his own family when Samuel came to anoint the future king. Joseph was forgotten in prison after helping another person. Mordecai’s honour was delayed despite his faithful service. Yet God brought divine remembrance and reversal.
Therefore, our prayer is not merely, “Open every door.”
Our deeper prayer is:
“Father, close every door that is not Your will, destroy every satanic barrier against legitimate doors, and lead me into every opportunity You have ordained for me.”
PROPHETIC ILLUSTRATION
Imagine a large building with many doors.
Some doors lead into safe rooms. Some lead into dangerous places. Some doors belong to offices that are not yours. Other doors lead directly into the place where your assignment is waiting.
A wise person does not demand that every door open.
A wise person asks the owner of the building:
“Which door belongs to me?”
Once the right door is identified, the person can confidently enter.
In the same way, the believer needs both divine access and divine discernment.
