BIBLE EXHORTATION (Warfare)
The spirit of greed is one of the most destructive forces that can invade the heart of a leader. God calls leaders to be stewards, not owners; servants, not oppressors; protectors, not exploiters. The spirit of greed caused Gehazi to lose his destiny. It caused Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus. It caused Achan to bring trouble upon Israel. Greed blinds spiritual vision and turns honorable men and women into instruments of oppression. Many leaders begin with pure intentions but gradually become corrupted by the desire for wealth, power, influence, and material accumulation.
God desires leaders who fear Him above money, who love righteousness more than profit, and who value integrity above personal gain. A godly leader understands that authority is a sacred trust from God and must never be used for selfish enrichment.
In these last days, believers must pray fervently for leaders in government, churches, communities, families, businesses, and institutions. We must wage spiritual warfare against every demonic spirit manipulating leaders into corruption, exploitation, and greed.
As we pray today, may God raise leaders who seek justice, love mercy, walk humbly before Him, and serve with integrity. May every spirit of greed lose its grip upon leadership structures. May righteousness be restored in the name of Jesus.
PROPHETIC ILLUSTRATION (Warfare)
A man was appointed to oversee a large storehouse that supplied food to an entire city. Initially, he was faithful and diligent. He distributed resources fairly and cared for the needs of the people.
As time passed, a whisper entered his heart.
“Take a little for yourself.”
He obeyed.
The next whisper came.
“Take more.”
Soon he became obsessed with accumulation. He diverted resources meant for the people into private warehouses. The city began suffering shortages while his personal barns overflowed.
One night he dreamed of standing before a great King. The King asked him:
“Where is the food I entrusted to you?”
The man pointed to his warehouses.
The King replied:
“I did not appoint you to possess it. I appointed you to distribute it.”
Suddenly the warehouses collapsed. Everything he had hoarded turned into dust.
He awoke trembling.
The Lord revealed that leadership is stewardship. Every gift, office, position, influence, and authority belongs to God. Leaders who misuse divine trust for selfish gain invite judgment, while those who serve faithfully receive divine reward.
Today, many leadership positions are under assault from the spirit of greed. But God is raising intercessors who will pray until integrity returns and righteousness is restored.
