Prayer Focus

Bible Exhortation
Affliction is not the final chapter of the believer’s story. Scripture repeatedly reveals that God is able to deliver His people from trouble and overturn the works of the enemy.
Psalm 34:19 declares, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.” Notice that Scripture does not deny the existence of affliction; rather, it establishes God’s power to deliver His people from it.
The believer’s confidence is not in human strength, physical confrontation, or fear. Our confidence is in the Lord. Psalm 91 presents God as a refuge and fortress, while Isaiah 54:17 declares that no weapon formed against God’s people shall prosper.
Jesus Christ has also given believers spiritual authority. Luke 10:19 speaks of authority over the power of the enemy, while Colossians 2:15 reveals Christ’s triumph over principalities and powers.

Prophetic Illustration
Imagine a traveler walking along a road at night while an enemy secretly places obstacles ahead of him. The traveler cannot see everything that has been placed on the road, but suddenly a powerful light shines from above, exposing every hidden obstacle.
The traveler does not need to fight every hidden object personally. Once the light exposes them, he can avoid them, remove what can be removed, and continue safely under protection.
In the same way, there may be circumstances whose causes you cannot fully understand. Instead of living in fear or trying to identify someone to blame, bring every troubling situation before God.
God’s light exposes darkness. His wisdom reveals the right response. His power breaks oppression. His grace restores what has been damaged.
