BIBLE EXHORTATION

Boasting, self-exaltation, and vanity are spiritual traps that quietly destroy destinies. The Bible warns us that pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall (Proverbs 16:18). When a man begins to lift himself above others, he is unknowingly lowering himself before God.

True greatness in God’s kingdom is rooted in humility. Jesus Himself, though Lord of all, humbled Himself and became obedient unto death (Philippians 2:8). This shows that elevation in God’s kingdom is not through pride but through surrender.

Beloved, every spirit of arrogance disconnects a man from divine help. But humility attracts grace. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). Therefore, this is a season to destroy every seed of self-exaltation, uproot every form of vanity, and align with the spirit of humility that brings lasting glory.

LONG ILLUSTRATION

There was once a gifted young king in a land blessed by God. At the beginning of his reign, he walked humbly and sought divine wisdom. The land prospered, enemies fled, and his name was honored.

But over time, praises from men entered his heart. He began to see himself as the source of his success. He stopped seeking counsel, ignored correction, and started boasting in his own strength. Slowly, his heart drifted from humility to pride.

One day, in a public celebration, he declared: “My power and my wisdom have made me great.” That very night, everything began to crumble. Confusion entered his palace, unity broke, and his authority weakened. The glory he once carried began to fade.

Years later, he wept and said, “I lost everything the moment I began to glorify myself instead of God.”

This story reveals a deep truth: pride does not announce its destruction—it builds it silently.
