BIBLE EXHORTATION
The spirit of worldliness is one of the most subtle attacks against a believer. It does not always appear as open sin, but as gradual drift—love for the world replacing love for God, compromise replacing conviction, and spiritual coldness replacing fire for God.
The Bible warns us clearly in 1 John 2:15–17 that we must not love the world or the things in it. The world passes away, but the one who does the will of God abides forever.
Beloved, spiritual compromise is dangerous because it weakens discernment, quenches fire, and opens doors to spiritual defeat. God is calling His people back to holiness, separation, and purity of heart.
LONG ILLUSTRATION
Imagine a ship anchored safely in the harbor. The anchor is strong, the ship is secure. But slowly, unnoticed, small leaks begin to enter the ship. At first, it is just a little water. No one cares. But over time, the water increases, and the ship becomes heavier. Eventually, if not addressed, it begins to sink—not because of one big hole, but many small ignored compromises.
This is how worldliness works. It does not destroy a believer overnight. It enters through “small allowances”: wrong friendships, ungodly entertainment, neglected prayer life, hidden sin, and diluted convictions. Before long, spiritual passion is lost, and the believer becomes distant from God.
But today, God is restoring fire again.
