Prayer Focus

Bible Exhortation

Long-term affliction can make a person feel forgotten, discouraged, or weary. However, the Word of God reveals that no situation is beyond God’s power. The woman with the issue of blood suffered for twelve years, but one encounter with Jesus changed her story.

Mark 5:25–34 shows us that prolonged suffering does not mean permanent suffering. The God who delivered Israel from Egypt, healed the sick, restored the brokenhearted, and raised the dead is still able to intervene in difficult situations.

The psalmist declared:

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.” — Psalm 34:19

Tonight, pray with faith, perseverance, humility, and confidence in God’s promises. Refuse to surrender to hopelessness. Ask the Lord for mercy, deliverance, restoration, wisdom, and the grace to walk in freedom.

Prophetic Illustration

Imagine a traveler walking along a road and repeatedly reaching the same roadblock. Every attempt to move forward appears to end at the same place. One day, the roadblock is removed, and the traveler discovers that the road ahead was always open.

Long-term affliction can sometimes feel like that repeated roadblock—years of the same struggle, repeated disappointment, recurring hardship, or an unresolved burden.

But Isaiah 43:19 says:

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth.”

Tonight, declare by faith that your story will not remain permanently defined by the affliction you have experienced. Ask God to remove every obstacle that He wants removed, heal what needs healing, restore what needs restoration, and lead you into the new thing He has prepared.
