Prayer Focus

Bible Exhortation
Grief is a real and painful experience, and the Bible does not ignore the sorrow that comes with the loss of loved ones or seasons of deep affliction. Prophetic Illustration
When Lazarus died, Mary and Martha mourned deeply. Jesus entered their sorrow with compassion, wept with them, and then demonstrated His authority over death by calling Lazarus out of the grave (John 11).
Likewise, after Naomi lost her husband and sons, she returned home in bitterness, believing her future was empty. Yet the Lord restored her hope through His gracious provision, and her mourning was eventually replaced with rejoicing (Ruth 1–4).
