Prophetic Illustration

Joseph experienced one of the deepest betrayals recorded in Scripture when his own brothers sold him into slavery. Years later, after God had exalted him in Egypt, he chose forgiveness instead of revenge. Through God’s grace, reconciliation took place, and the entire family was preserved during famine (Genesis 37; Genesis 45; Genesis 50 MFM).

Likewise, after Jacob deceived his brother Esau and years of separation followed, God worked in their hearts until they embraced in peace and reconciliation (Genesis 33).
