Bible Exhortation
God’s heart is unity in diversity. Though people come from different tribes, languages, and cultures, His desire is love, peace, and oneness. Scripture declares: “For He is our peace… and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us” (Ephesians 2:14).
Cultural division often arises from misunderstanding, pride, prejudice, and historical wounds. When these divisions deepen, they create conflict, discrimination, and disunity in families, communities, and nations.
But God calls us to unity and love. “Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3). Through prayer, we can break barriers, heal wounds, and release understanding and harmony among people.
Long Illustration
Imagine a beautiful woven fabric made from threads of many colors. Each thread is unique—different shades, textures, and strengths. When woven together properly, they form a strong and beautiful cloth.
But if the threads begin to pull apart, resist one another, or refuse to connect, the fabric weakens and eventually falls apart.
Society is like that fabric. Cultural diversity is meant to create beauty and strength, not division. When unity is lost, the whole system suffers.
God, the Master Weaver, can bring the threads back together—restoring unity, strength, and beauty. Through prayer, we invite Him to reconnect what has been divided.
