BIBLE EXHORTATION
Spiritual exhaustion can feel like dryness, weariness, or loss of strength in your walk with God. Even strong believers have experienced it. After a great victory, Elijah became exhausted and discouraged (1 Kings 19:4–8). Yet God did not condemn him—He restored him with rest, nourishment, and renewed direction.
God understands your limits and offers renewal. Through Jesus Christ, you are invited to find rest and refreshment (Matthew 11:28–30). Spiritual strength is not sustained by effort alone but by dependence on God’s grace.
When you feel drained, it is not a sign of failure—it is a call to reconnect, rest, and be refilled. God is ready to renew your strength.
LONG ILLUSTRATION
Imagine a lamp designed to shine brightly, but over time, its oil begins to run low. The light flickers, not because the lamp is faulty, but because it needs to be refilled.
Life can be like that lamp. Responsibilities, challenges, and constant demands can drain your energy—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. If you keep going without refilling, the light grows dim.
In the story of Elijah, God first addressed his physical needs—rest and food—before giving him new direction. This shows that renewal is holistic.
When you pause, reconnect with God, and allow Him to restore you, your strength returns. Your light shines again, not by force, but by continual renewal.
