Valleys of stagnation represent low seasons—periods where movement slows, growth seems minimal, and progress feels delayed. Yet Scripture shows that valleys are not permanent places; they are passages, not destinations.
In Ezekiel 37, Ezekiel saw a valley of dry bones transformed into a place of life. In Psalm 23, even in the valley, God’s presence brings guidance and restoration. And in Zechariah 4:7, mountains become plains—meaning both highs and lows can be leveled for progress.
Through Jesus Christ, every low season can turn into a season of renewal and forward movement.
LONG ILLUSTRATION
Imagine walking through a valley surrounded by high mountains. Movement feels slow, visibility is limited, and progress seems uncertain. You are not stuck permanently—but it feels like you are not advancing as expected.
Now imagine climbing out of that valley onto higher ground. Suddenly, your perspective changes, your movement becomes faster, and your direction becomes clearer.
Many people experience such “valleys”—periods where effort does not seem to yield results, or growth feels paused. These seasons can be discouraging, but they are temporary.
In the vision of Ezekiel, what appeared lifeless was restored. This shows that stagnation can turn into progress.
