Loneliness can be one of the most painful human experiences.

A person can be surrounded by people and still feel alone.

Scripture, however, reveals that God’s presence does not disappear during lonely seasons.

Deuteronomy 31:8 declares that the Lord goes before His people and will not leave or forsake them.

Jesus Himself experienced abandonment by friends during His earthly ministry.

Paul also experienced seasons when people deserted him.

Yet God’s presence remained with them.

2 Timothy 4:17 says:
