Joel 2:25 declares:

God is a God of restoration.
Job experienced devastating loss, yet his story did not end in devastation. Nehemiah saw Jerusalem’s walls broken down, but he did not merely mourn the ruins—he prayed, planned, gathered people, and rebuilt.
David also experienced seasons of loss and distress. In 1 Samuel 30:6, Scripture says:
“David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.”
