LONG ILLUSTRATION
Imagine two brothers working in the same field. One is given a small portion of land and the other a larger one. Instead of focusing on his own land and making it fruitful, the first brother constantly stares at the other’s portion, envying its size. He neglects his own and becomes bitter.
Over time, the jealous brother’s land becomes dry and unproductive—not because it was small, but because it was neglected. Meanwhile, the other brother prospers because he focused on what he had.
This is exactly how covetousness works. It destroys your own blessings while making you obsessed with others.
But when a man learns contentment, gratitude, and trust in God’s timing, even small beginnings become great testimonies.
