BIBLE EXHORTATION
The believer’s warfare is spiritual, but the victory belongs to Christ. Scripture teaches that the weapons God gives His people are powerful enough to demolish strongholds and bring thoughts into obedience to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:4–5: “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.”
A spiritual stronghold may represent a deeply established pattern of fear, deception, temptation, bondage, or resistance that opposes God’s truth. Such strongholds are confronted through the Word of God, prayer, faith, repentance, obedience, and the authority of Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our struggle is not ultimately against people, but against spiritual forces of evil. Therefore, our warfare must never become hatred toward human beings. We stand against evil while maintaining love, forgiveness, wisdom, and righteousness.
1 John 3:8 declares that the Son of God was manifested to destroy the works of the devil.
Therefore, arise in faith. Christ has already won the victory.
PROPHETIC ILLUSTRATION
A fortress may stand for many years and appear impossible to penetrate. Its walls may become familiar to those living around it, and people may eventually assume that the fortress can never fall.
But when a greater authority arrives, the strength of the fortress is no longer the deciding factor.
In the same way, a spiritual stronghold may appear persistent, but its apparent strength cannot compare with the authority of Jesus Christ.
The believer does not fight from a position of defeat. We stand upon the finished work of Christ, proclaim God’s Word, resist evil, and trust the Holy Spirit to bring freedom and transformation.
What appears immovable can come down when God’s truth takes its rightful place.
