Topic: CONNECTING TO SUDDEN HELP AND STRANGE HELPERS

Psalms 121:1-2 (KJV) says, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”
There is something that, no matter who you are or what level you are right now, you will always need. It is called help.
There is something you will always need, no matter who you are, no matter what you are doing, no matter where you are, no matter what level in life you are at.
The word help:
Makes things easier.
Makes things better.
Means, that which supports.
Assists.
Aids in achieving something.
• Means something that helps get a particular result.
You and I need help. It is important for you and I to know the source of help available to us.
Most times, people do not get the help they need because they do not know the sources of help and so do not tap into them.
There are quite a number of sources of help, and we need to tap into them so that things can be better for us.
One prayer to pray seriously this year is to unashamedly ask God for help. Whoever you are, you need help. When they asked Jesus to pay tax, he needed help. He sent Peter, who caught a fish, and the money was got from the mouth of the fish. It was not Jesus who went to find the fish; it was Peter. Jesus got help. He needed help.
The Bible says in Isaiah 6, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” ” Then said I, ‘Here I am, send me.’” Heavens too called for help.
There are four sources of help. You will do well to pay close attention to what I am about to tell you now:
1. Yourself: Unfortunately and in a lamentable way, many of us do not help ourselves. And many times, God cannot help you if you do not help yourself.
The Englishman says, “Heaven helps those who help themselves.” It may not be in the Bible, but certainly, if you want divine help, you have to help yourself. At times, you may be the one who needs to help yourself.
Some sisters are going about with the wrong relationship. This man smokes, drinks, and tells lies, and when you catch him, he keeps a deadpan face (he lies blatantly). You see it and still continue with him. You are not helping yourself. The Bible says, “Go not with an angry man,” and yet, you are going with him.
Some brothers too are going to the wrong places and having the wrong persons as friends.
Church members too are not helping themselves by not paying tithes. You are robbing God, and you know how robbers are treated when caught. In modern society, no one is friendly with robbers. Sometimes, they beat them blue-black or even kill them, and God is now calling you a robber. You are not helping yourself when you are listening to sermons or teachings of people saying, “Do not serve God,” “Do not do first fruit offerings,” or “Do not pay tithes.” Although paying of tithes is not compulsory, if you do not pay, the windows of heaven will not be opened, and you become a robber.
Malachi 3:8 (KJV) says, “Will a man rob God?’ Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.”
Many times, you have to encourage yourself. There are not many out there who encourage people. You really need to encourage yourself because no one out there can give you hope for tomorrow. You have to encourage yourself. Many complicate their lives because they refuse to help themselves.
The Bible says, “Whatsoever you bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatsoever is loosed on earth is loosed in heaven.” The initiative is from the earth. You will start it. Angels were moving up and down in the story of Jacob. What you do is what sets goals for what heavens will do.
And like I always tell people here, the problem of heaven is not really unanswered prayers, but unprayed prayers. Heavens will support us in what we do. Help yourself.
Some men and women are not helping their marriages; some are not helping in their places of work; they think their managers are impossible instead of working hard. There are students who are not helping themselves, only reading when it is close to exams or when they have a test.
2. Helped by things, whether living or non-living: they can help you. For example, this microphone I am holding is non-living, and the speakers are non-living, but they are helping me speak to you.
Peter was in that place when they said, “This man looks like someone we saw with Jesus.” He denied it and said, “I do not know him.” They said, “But your accent shows you are not from here.” Again he said, “Not me.” He denied it three times, and then the cock crowed, like to say, “Peter, do you see yourself?” That cock helped Peter know he was in trouble, and he went out to repent.
Moses used a rod, and with that rod, he closed down the kingdom of Egypt.
Samson used the jawbone of an ass to conquer the enemy.
3. Help from others: One of the greatest sources of help and untapped energy is from others. Many of us do not have the right people in our lives. Many of us have irrelevant people. Many have people they should not be moving with in their lives.
You need to have people in your life, but those who are relevant and helpers of your destiny. People who will provoke and motivate you; who will challenge and help you in the way you are going.
This is a serious matter, and I want you to understand it very well. So note it clearly: you need help from others too. Jesus needed help from others. There were women looking after Jesus, washing his clothes and cooking for him.
When he died and all the men ran away, the women came on the second and third day to embalm his body. People should know that there are helpers of destiny. People who can make your life better, who can make your business better. This is a very serious matter.
4. Help from God the Almighty. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”
Psalms 46:1 (KJV) says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
You and I need help from God. We need help in every area, in areas where God will have to create opportunities for us. There are moments in life when your strength, wisdom, and connection are not enough. You look around, and people are unable or unwilling to help you, yet at that point of desperation, God arises suddenly with help from unexpected quarters. This is what I call “help from strange quarters”.
There are divine interventions that can come swiftly, unusually from sources you do not expect at all. We need that help of God. At this time of the year, divine help is needed. Getting help from God should be the focus of you and I.
*The help of God:*
Will make you get what you need quickly and correctly.
Will change things for good for you.
Will put things in the right place for you.
Will help you to get things right.
Will help you recover what you have lost.
Will open your heavens.
Will make a way for you where there is no way.
Will turn your desert into a pool of water.
Will create a way for you in the wilderness.
Will change you inside out.
Will do for you what no man can do.
Will package and rebrand your life for God.
Makes you a candidate of uncommon testimonies.
Will permanently save you from trouble.
Gets you what your strength cannot get for you.
Disrupts the agenda of the wicked for your life.
Will make you manifest your purpose on earth.
Will help you get to where you are going faster. We all need the help of God. If there is one major prayer to pray this year, it is that God should arise and help you using anyone, anytime, anywhere for you.
Will make you accomplish your goal with ease.
Will make the difference for good in your life.
*You need divine help in:*
Your finances.
Your spiritual and physical life.
Business.
Your studies.
Your marriage.
Your career.
Whatever you want to do in life.
There was a Muslim sister who had a medical examination to take. She failed it the first and second time. Now she had only one trial left. So someone recommended MFM for her to go for deliverance in Prayer City. She protested, “I am not a Christian,” and the person replied, “When you get there, you will become one.”
In Prayer City, they led her to Christ, prayed with her and declared three days’ dry fasting and praying. She had never done a dry fast before; she thought she would die. Day one, day two, nothing extraordinary. On the third day, she had a dream. She found herself sitting in a classroom with someone in a white garment standing by the board.
She saw that she was the only one in the class. The person started writing. He wrote question one and wrote the answers, wrote question two and the answers, and also wrote those of three and four. After writing all the answers, she woke up.
The following week was the exam, and she was to answer four questions out of seven. The heavenly agents that came to her answered four questions. When she got to the exam hall and she got the questions, she started to cry because the four questions were the first four questions she had seen in her dream. They were to finish in two hours. But in one hour, she had finished the exam. That was how she passed the exam with distinction with divine help.
I am praying for someone here today: help is coming to you today! The Lord will address every source of your tears; you shall receive divine help, and you shall receive divine assistance, in the name of Jesus.
You need divine help in your marriage, your career, and whatever you do in life. You need help from above because as mortal men, we are limited, we have constraints, and we have weaknesses. There is an extent to which we can do things, so we need help to pull us through; not ordinary but unlimited help from the unlimited God.
*Divine help:*
Is what will scale you through at the junction you find yourself,
Will make you overcome those challenges,
Will make you live above the situations troubling you,
Will make you a victor in battles,
Will make your case settled,
Will take you far and wide,
Will change your story for good. So, “O God, help me” should be the song on our lips and the prayer we should pray always.
Beloveth, the help you get from any other place, avenue or source is limited. You can be disappointed; the source can fail you. In fact, man is known to fail. He can turn you down any time.
The Bible says, “Give us help from trouble, for vain is the help of man.” Sudden help is the supernatural response of God that cancels years of struggle in a moment. Strange helpers are divinely positioned men or women positioned to help you in whatever situation you need help. You do not know them; there are no strings attached. They may be believers or unbelievers, but they are sudden helpers.
The daughter of Pharaoh was a strange helper to Moses. Joseph was in Egypt, and one night as he slept in prison, by sudden help, Pharaoh sent for him.
In the story of Elijah and the widow of Zarephat, God used a poor widow to sustain Elijah during famine. Peter at the beautiful gate allowed that man to receive help.
Sudden help is help that comes when human efforts have failed. That sudden help can even be bigger than your prayers. Sudden help manifests when God says your time has come without any connection and damages long delay. Sudden help appears when men are at their wits’ end. God raises such helpers from unlikely, unknown, unexpected places, and they advance your destiny. They may not look like what you expect, or they may not like you, but they are positioned by God at the right time, at the right place for you.
We must pray that God should send us sudden help and strange helpers. God sends sudden help and strange helpers:
To show that He is the God of all flesh.
To accelerate your journey in life.
To prove that no man can stop His agenda.
To glorify His name in your life.
I have shared this before; I will not stop sharing it because it changed my life. I come from a very poor home. Our family was so poor that when I gained admission into the University of Lagos, the fees were sixty naira. But my parents could not afford it; they had to borrow. I went through the university, and God helped me. I finished with a first class. Now what was I to do with it? I needed to proceed with my studies, but no money, no helper. My parents had never flown anywhere before. Then there came a Commonwealth scholarship, and I applied. I took the form; it was at Tafawa Balewa Square at the time, where the Ministry of Education was. When I got to the reception, the lady asked what I wanted. I replied, “Madam, I have come to submit my Commonwealth Scholarship Form.”
She hissed. “Do you live in this country?” I replied, “Yes.” She then retorted, “The form closed two months ago. Why are you just bringing it now? Get out!” So I walked out of the place and stood at the entrance, worried and confused. Where I stood there, one messenger was going to buy food for his boss, carrying plates. He saw me there and asked, “Mister man, what are you doing here? Why are you looking so sad?” I replied, “I came to submit my form, and they said it has closed.” “Ehn ehn?” he replied. “What class of degree do you have?” I said, “A first class”.
He said again, “Ehn ehn, you made first class? OK, wait here. The person in charge of the form is my boss. Let me go and buy food.” I had never met this man before; I did not know him. I am Yoruba; he was an Igbo man. So he came back and took me to the office of his boss; the boss was writing at his desk. This messenger knelt down and said to his boss, “Sir, this boy here is my brother. He wants to submit his scholarship form, but he came late.”
Beloveth, that man did not look up from his desk; he just said, while pointing, “That is where the forms are; drop it there.” Beloveth, that was how I got that sudden help.
I am praying for somebody here today: you shall receive divine intervention, in the name of Jesus.
Say: Where is the God of Elijah? Arise, use anyone, anywhere, anytime, to help me, in the name of Jesus.
You want to attract sudden help and strange helpers? The keys are these:
Praying and crying to God. Psalms 34:6 says, “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him.”
Obeying divine instructions. Elijah obeyed God and went to Zarephath.
Faithfulness in little things. Joseph was faithful in little things before God remembered him in prison.
Finally, violent faith. “He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”
James 1:6-7 (KJV) says, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.
You need the ministry of strange helpers. You need the ministry of sudden help. You need the ministry of divine intervention
*PRAYER POINTS*:
1. Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Arise, send me sudden help, in the name of Jesus.
2. Powers of destiny delay, I am not your candidate; die in the name of Jesus.
3. Help that terminates old battles, locate me now, in the name of Jesus.
4. Helpers from unexpected quarters, appear in the name of Jesus.
5. Helper diverters, you are liars; die in the name of Jesus.
6. This year, 2026, I receive sudden help; I receive strange helpers in the name of Jesus.
7. Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Arise, use anyone, anywhere and anytime to help me, in the name of Jesus.
