One of the problems which can be removed by the anointing is what we shall examine in this chapter. An evil umbrella affects individuals and families. But the evil umbrella is more dangerous for people who are members of the same family. One of the areas of attacks on the family emanates from a negative corporate anointing. The family which you belong to can serve as a negative or a positive umbrella. When you come under an umbrella) you are lumped with everyone under it. The evil band wagon effect of the umbrella will engineer lots of evil occurrences. When you are under a negative family umbrella what happens to other members of the family, will happen to you. Then you will become a victim of collective captivity. attacks) diseases, financial failure and tragedy. Failure at the edge of miracles will become the common experience of everyone under the family umbrella.
If certain problems. curses, jinxes and bondages are common with your family members) you must go through deliverance to come out of the corporate evil pit. There are two things you can do. You either come out of the umbrella or you pray to set the umbrella on fire.
INALIENABLE FACTS
When your destiny is considered risky by the enemy. you will’ face attacks. Many people wonder why they are faced with fierce battles. They should rejoice because it means there is, at least, something in their lives worth contending for. There are many people too. who nave nothing to bother the enemy, nothing worth contending for so, the enemy will leave them alone. When a person is a walking gold-mine. the enemy will rage against him.
Some parts of the benefits of salvation are the weapons of warfare that you have. Although our victory was declared about 2,000 years ago, the enemy still wants to contend with us.
The Bible says:
“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11 :12.
I want you to concentrate as you read on and be involved in the prayers that I will ask you to pray. It does not matter what you are going through, what or who is harassing you and why, or where you come from.
Just know that just one word from the Lord is enough. He spoke just one statement to the raging storm. He said: “Peace, be still” and the storm was arrested. I pray that all your arresters will be arrested, in the name of Jesus.
As you pray, your stolen virtues will be restored to you and your breakthroughs will begin. Make sure you pray aggressively, powerfully and violently. I want to assure you that this book will provoke a transformation in your life and body. Hidden sicknesses will jump out and all the strangers will come out of their hiding places.
Pray now:
1. Every stranger in the temple of my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every incantation working against my marriage, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
3. Anger of God, pursue my pursuers, in the name of Jesus.
4. Holy Ghost fire, arrest my arresters, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every power that says I will not have peace, die, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every witchcraft river harbouring my destiny, release it now, in the name of Jesus.
7. Every strongman of backwardness assigned to my destiny, die, in the name of Jesus.
8. You stubborn witchcraft in my family. I smash your heads with the cross of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
Soon your problems will become your promotion. Just as God turned the captivity of Job and what he got was greater, this shall be your season of restoration.
You will repossess what you lost in the past. All of a sudden, doors will open unto you in strange places. Unexpected income as well as signs and wonders will come unto you. in the name of Jesus.
The gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off. Psalm 94:21-23
WHAT IS AN UMBRELLA?
It is a device with a folding frame of metal rods covered with material and a handle, held over the head to protect one from the rain or sun. Hence, it is a shield from the harshness of the weather. It prevents the direct rays of the sun from scourging the person or thing under it.
It also prevents the rain from wetting the person or thing under it. As it works physically in a positive way to shield a person, so also does the spiritual umbrella helpfully shield a person from attacks. It can also shield good things and blessings away from a person.
TYPES OF SPIRITUAL UMBRELLAS
1. Good Spiritual Umbrella:
This type of umbrella is from God. It is fashioned against the fiery darts of the enemy.
2. Evil Spiritual Umbrella:
This is from the devil. It is used to prevent a person from receiving blessings from God.
3. Family Spiritual Umbrella.
THE EVIL SPIRITUAL UMBRELLA
Despite good teachings and sermons, the heart of a person could be like hard ground on which nothing can thrive. This is owing to the shield on it by an evil umbrella.
No matter how good a farmer is, with his experience, good equipment, fertilizers and good seeds, if the ground is hard, and infertile, no thing will thrive on it. Nothing can thrive on concrete floor because there is no soil.
The enemy has put a concrete slab on the soil of many lives thereby making it difficult for anything to thrive there. This could be very discouraging and frustrating because the person will try everything possible and there will be no improvement. The person fights hard and does not win; it could be really frustrating.
A person could pray hard, cry, fast and live a holy life but every blessing he is supposed to get is shielded away by the enemy. The purpose of this book you are reading is to crack every concrete in your life so that good seeds will thrive therein.
Pray:
Thou concrete of darkness in my life, break, in the name of Jesus.
Perhaps you have been taught that once you are born again, your problems are solved. It is true that once you are born again, old things are passed away and all things become new, but it is naive and unrealistic to imagine that without deliverance, you are automatically cleansed from past evil associations or that you are free from the consequences of your bad actions of the past.
Salvation does not exempt you from the battles of life. It actually provokes them. Salvation equips you to fight and win. Jesus did not deceive us, He said,
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33.
Being born again introduces the solution to problems; it is not the solution itself.
If you want to destroy the umbrella of darkness in your life, you have to take this message seriously. Christians are sometimes open to attack as a result of an opening. These openings come when a person fails to align himself or herself perfectly with the will of God.
DOORWAYS OF THE EVIL UMBRELLA
1. Known sin and rebellion.
2. Emotional trauma.
3. Inherited curses.
4. Worldly acts, music, fashion.
5. Unclean objects in the house.
6. Failure to pay tithes.
7. Unforgiveness.
8. Idolatry-placing anything or person before or beside God.
THE BLACKMAN’S WOES
The greatest trouble of the black man is his background. When God gave Moses the ten commandments, He said:
‘Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;” Exodus 20:3-5
This background of idolatry has led to the closed heavens that the black man is experiencing. If you go back to the Bible, you will find out that the centre-piece of demonic establishment in the Bible is the land of Egypt. Egypt is a problem to Africa. It was there that Pharaoh saw the power of God raw and confronted it. Moses threw down his rod and it became a serpent but the magicians still confronted it.
An Egyptian wrote to me sometime ago saying his father used to talk to spirits of the dead and that his own problem started one day, when he pulled a bag from under his bed and a hand jumped out and wrote some things on the wall. He saw our messages on the Internet and understood the need for deliverance and requested for assistance on how to go about it.
REMOVING THE EVIL UMBRELLA
1. Repentance:
Everybody needs to repent of one sin or the other. You must repent of every known sin. If you are already a child of God, you may need to repent of not doing the work of the master as He instructed. Repentance means a turn-around. It is the most powerful weapon of warfare.
Immediately you repent of your sins, you weaken the strength of the enemy. The Bible says, “The sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law.”
Perfect repentance means telling the truth about the situation and areas in question. Without being truthful, you cannot be set free. The Bible says:
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32.
In many instances, the repentance that people do is without the truth.
A troubled couple came for counselling one day. The problem started in their church one morning, during service. There was a girl in tight trousers sitting by the side of the man. His wife was sitting on the other side. Suddenly, the man placed his hand on the thigh of the girl in trousers and started caressing her. He was so carried away that he did not know when the girl tapped his wife and drew her attention to what he was doing. The wife was so furious that she gave her husband a big blow; he retaliated and they were sent out of the church hall.
I told them that they needed profound repentance before anything else. You cannot completely stop a demon in operation in any aspect of your life until your repentance is complete. Without repentance, bad spirits will re-enter, even after deliverance. When a sinful activity is stopped in the flesh, the spirit attached to it will no longer have a legal hold on that life.
A couple who had each been fornicating before they got married contracted gonorrhoea and none told the other. After they got married, it worsened and each accused the other. They went to a hospital and found out that they had each been receiving treatment from the same doctor before they knew each other. If they had repented of their sins individually, they would have confessed to each other and probably would have been healed before getting married and the demon would have left them.
If a fornicator does not repent, even if he or she does not go into the act of sexual intercourse illicitly, he or she could undress a man or woman in the laboratory of his or her heart. This will invoke spirit husbands or wives to continue to harass such a lustful man or lady. Married people are also guilty. Ignorance of this principle of repentance has produced much sorrow, Instead of repenting, many people give up and either backslide or remain where they are. An unrepentant person is a failure in the ministry of deliverance.
Every hidden, unforsaken sin turns a person into a laughing stock in the eyes of the enemy. A. person could be praying, binding a demon and before the demon leaves, it gets in touch with the demonic headquarters where the person who is praying has a file and when checked, they find out that he committed an associated sin recently and from which he has not been cleansed. It could be the sin of anger, fornication, lying, etc.
2. Discernment:
Many demons are not easily identifiable. Their survival depends upon the concealment of their identity.
A university lecturer could have academic demons troubling him. He could be bragging in the open that there is no God but he is carrying sacrifices at night for protection because he is tormented by fear. Some powers can try and endure the fire of prayer because they know that the person praying will soon give up. You must know what you are fighting against.
3. Persistence:
It is rare to find a demonic structure being destroyed in a single deliverance session. The bullets of prayers thrown will wound the demons each time they are thrown and eventually paralyse them. These bullets will also prevent a re-grouping of the demons, and ultimately destroy their stronghold and recover occupied territories.
When you know you have many battles to fight, you take them one after the other
4. Violence:
The war of prayers against these powers is done with holy aggression. You have to be angry with the fact that the enemy had in the past gained an upper hand, and for you to take back what the enemy has stolen from you, you do not beg or fear him. You will take everything back with authority and violence.
CONDITIONS TO MEET
If you have any repentance to do, I would advise you to do so before you pray the prayers below. Similarly, if you have not yet surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, I would ask you to do so now. Go before Him and acknowledge the fact that you are a sinner and that you are ready to forsake your sins. The Lord will fill your life with His fire, dig dip into your life and ensure that every evil umbrella that has been hindering your breakthroughs is dashed to pieces, in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Whatever is in my life that will not allow me to experience open heavens, depart now, in the name of Jesus.
2. Anything the enemy has written against me, be wiped off by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
3. O Lord, make me strong in any area that I am weak, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every umbrella of darkness in my life, be roasted, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every blessing I have received today shall be permanent in my life, in the name of Jesus.
