Exhortation

The God of Elijah is a God who answers by fire, who transforms situations, and who brings hope to the hopeless. In 1 Kings 18:38-39, we see Elijah calling upon the Lord, and fire came down from heaven, consuming the offering and proving God’s supremacy. Similarly, this same God has the power to turn your mourning into joy and your sorrow into dancing. Trust in Him today as the One who can reverse every situation of pain, loss, and disappointment in your life. As you call upon the God of Elijah, He will restore the years the locusts have eaten, give you beauty for ashes, and clothe you with joy everlasting.

I declare today that my mourning shall turn to joy in the name of Jesus. The oil of gladness is my portion, and the garment of praise is upon me. I decree that every sorrow, disappointment, and shame in my life is permanently destroyed by the power of the living God. I arise in the joy of the Lord and take possession of my testimony in Jesus’ name.
