The God of Elijah is the God who answers by fire. When you talk of the God of Elijah you are going into the realm of fire. In the field of spiritual warfare, fire is a weapon that can not be dismissed with a wave of the hand. God is ready to reveal himself as the God who answereth by fire. When the God of fire steps into your battles, the enemy is in trouble because God will roast the weapons of darkness to ashes. Such a battle will leave the enemy’s camp with causalities and the enemy will regret ever challenging with warfare anyone who is backed by the God of Elijah.
Let us learn some lessons from Elisha, the servant of Elijah in the book of 2 Kings.
And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; and he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, where is the LORD God of Elijah? And when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, the spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they come to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him. And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, ye shall not send. And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not. And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not? 22 Kings 2:11-18
NOTHING IS NEW
Elisha was surrounded by enemies. He called upon the God of Elijah. The issue of being surrounded by a satanic audience is not new. You are not the only person who has come to such a situation. Many men and women of God have gone through the time of Jacob’s trouble at one time or the other. In such situations, they uttered their own battle cry.
Let us learn some lessons from Elisha at the bank of Jordan. The sons of the prophets who were theologians and experts in religious issues were watching. They discovered that Elisha’s boss had gone. They did not believe that he had really gone. Elisha was in the midst of these ‘erudite professors’ of religion. If you were the one what would you have done among this kind of audience? What would you do if your case was exactly like Paul’s, who when he was warming himself by the fire, a viper fastened itself onto his hand?
CALL ON THE GOD OF ELIJAH…
You could call on the God of Elijah as Elisha did. When Elisha called on the God of Elijah things
began to happen.
I remember a sister who was promoted at her place of work. The promotion was very controversial. People gathered against the sister and one person in particular told her that she would not remain on the seat of promotion for long and that she would die suddenly on it.
THE EVIL SERPENT
We thank God that the sister knew the power of the God of Elijah. She was in her office on a particular day when she suddenly noticed a chilly object was coiling itself round her leg. The office was in a skyscraper where it would be extremely preposterous to imagine seeing a snake or a viper. The sister looked at her leg and saw a giant serpent.
Her first action was to prompt her messenger by a bell, but the latter soon took off, abandoning ‘Madam’ in the office once he sighted the big venomous serpent. At that level the sister knew that the only way out was divine intervention. So she shouted loud and clear, “You serpent of darkness be electrocuted by the fire of Holy Ghost”, Immediately she shouted the prayer, something surged through the serpent making it to leave her left her leg alone and fall on the ground dead. The God of Elijah fought for her.
Only the God of Elijah can deliver His people when situations are very contrary and when they are in a very tight corner.
WHO IS THE GOD OF ELIJAH?
The God of Elijah is the one who has the key to the heavenlies. He is the God who can provide for His people no matter the situation. Those who call on the God of Elijah shall be fed, the hard and harsh economic situation of the country not withstanding.
Who is the Lord God of Elijah? He is the God of prosperity. He is the God of multiplication. It was the Lord God of Elijah who fed the widow of Zaraphath and said that her jar oil would not be spent and that every other person could be hungry but she would not be hungry.
Who is the God of Elijah? He is the Lord God of the resurrection and the life. When things are dead, the God of Elijah breathes life unto them. The Lord God of. Elijah is a prophetic God. Prophecy is what God spoke and was proclaimed. The Lord God of Elijah is the one that declared His good intentions to His people. Who is the God of Elijah? He is the God who answers by fire. He is a consuming fire.
Who is this God? He is the God that respects violent and fervent prayers. He is the same God who shows no mercy to the prophets of Baal. He is the God who laughs His enemies to scorn. The Bible says, He that sits in heaven shall laugh. That is why Elijah laughed the prophets of Baal to scorn.
Who is the Lord God of Elijah? He is the God who gives double portion of power. The God of Elijah is the one who separated Jordan.
Who is the Lord God of Elijah? He is the God of signs and wonders.
LET FIRE FALL!
Whenever you are surrounded by a satanic audience, who are waiting for your downfall, cry out unto the God of Elijah, ”WHERE IS THE LORD GOD OF ELIJAH?” Things will begin to happen.
When soldiers came to Elijah and said. “Oh man of God come down! The man looked at them and said within himself “What kind of insult is this? They want to disgrace the man of God?” So he replied and said. “Okay. It is not me you are challenging but the Lord God Almighty”. He then said, in a loud and clear voice. “If I be a man of God let fire come down”. Fire came down and destroyed those who wanted to laugh the prophet to scorn.
THE EVER ABIDING GOD
When the heavens shall be no more the Lord God of Elijah shall remain. When the sun and moon shall go down into eternity, the God of Elijah shall stand. When the waves and the sea will cease to roll, the God of Elijah will abide forever. When the mountains are brought down and the valleys are filled up. the God of Elijah shall not change. When all other things have shifted. the Lord God of Elijah will stand.
THE BATTLE CRY
Where is the Lord God of Elijah? This is the cry of those who are in the midst of mockers. Where is the God of Elijah. is the battle cry of those whose enemies are standing afar off watching whether they will fail or succeed.
Where is the God of Elijah, is the battle cry of a man who was pushed to the corner and it appeared that there was no way of escape for him? Where is the God of Elijah? This is the battle cry of people who find themselves in positions of men and women described in Psalm 107.
They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired heaven. Oh that man would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Psalm 107:26-31
The Lord has given you every opportunity to disgrace every satanic audience surrounding you. The Lord has given you the grace to disgrace those who have told your family that you should go to the fetish priest because they feel you are not making progress. Utter a cry to God today and the satanic
audience will be dispersed.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Every power gathered to mock me scatter in the name of Jesus.
2. They that gathered to mock me will glorify my God in the name of Jesus.
3. Every power expecting my obituary what are you waiting for? Die, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every power waiting to rejoice over my downfall, scatter in the name of Jesus.
5. I shall be what God wants me to be whether the enemy likes or not in the name of Jesus.
6. All those who gathered to celebrate my fall, scatter in the name of Jesus.
7. Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Arise! Use me to show you have not changed in the name of Jesus.
