PRAYER FOCUS

O Lord, arise and restore every divine connection assigned to my destiny. BIBLE EXHORTATION

God often accomplishes His purposes through people. Throughout Scripture, divine connections played important roles in the lives of God’s servants.

Joseph encountered people who eventually became connected to his journey. Esther was positioned among people through whom God brought deliverance to His people. Ruth encountered Boaz at a critical point in her life. David received support from Jonathan. Paul had believers who strengthened and assisted him during difficult seasons.

Yet Scripture also shows seasons when people abandoned God’s servants. Paul wrote that some people deserted him, but he remained confident that the Lord stood with him.

2 Timothy 4:16–17 declares:

“At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: notwithstanding the Lord stood with me.”

This is a powerful reminder: human beings may leave, but God never abandons His children.

Therefore, these prayers should not be based on fear or obsession with particular people. We pray for God to preserve relationships He has ordained, expose unhealthy influences, restore legitimate connections where appropriate, and give us wisdom when relationships change.

Imagine a traveler carrying an important message to a distant destination. Along the journey, several people who promised to help suddenly withdraw.

The traveler may become discouraged and believe that the mission has failed.

This illustrates an important spiritual truth:

One person’s withdrawal cannot cancel God’s purpose.

BIBLE READING

2 Timothy 4:16–18

Paul described a painful experience in which people did not stand with him. Yet he immediately testified that the Lord stood with him and strengthened him.

This passage teaches us not to place our entire confidence in human relationships.

People can change.

People can disappoint.

People can misunderstand.

People can leave.

But God remains faithful.

The Lord can use people to help us, but our ultimate dependence must remain upon Him.

Psalm 27:10

“When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.”

CONFESSION

I belong to Jesus Christ.
